What is Copilot for PowerPoint

Microsoft built Copilot into PowerPoint in 2023 and it is now (2026) part of Microsoft 365 Copilot for business and Microsoft 365 Premium for consumers. Features include: deck creation from prompts or Word/PDF files, Narrative Builder for storytelling arcs, Summarize, generated speaker notes, AI images via DALL·E 3 integration, Brand Kit support. Agent Mode is GA in Word/Excel and in preview in PowerPoint with GPT-5.4 Thinking and GPT-5.3 Instant. Copilot Chat is included for any eligible M365 subscription.
